A new billing system has been introduced to simplify invoicing for use of the school canteen, self-service or cafeteria, and to keep track of unpaid bills.
Until now, Skolengo has enabled you to manage school meals in 2 different ways:
- one flat-rate billing for half-boarders You issue invoices via the financial management module on the basis of a number of days per week multiplied by the price of meals. This system is simple to implement and offers advanced functionalities (follow-up of unpaid meals, reminders, etc.), but did not allow for easy follow-up of external students or occasional meals taken by half-boarders.
- a management via a virtual wallet for each Student A virtual wallet for each Student: the family recharges the wallet, and the Student can then consume meals deducted from his or her wallet as the period progresses. At the end of the period, a statement of consumption can be printed out for the family. This system enables the School to optimize its cash flow, as it is up to the family to ensure that the wallet is regularly replenished so that the Child can take his or her meals (the School does not advance the catering costs). On the other hand, it was more difficult to manage unpaid bills.
For Schools with the Settings and Finance modulethis new functionality harmonizes financial management between half-boarders and day students. Parents will find all their school catering invoices in the same place in the Family Portal (half-board and occasional meal packages), and can pay all their invoices by the method of their choice.
For schools benefiting from the Catering moduleThis new mode enables them to benefit from the monitoring functions of the financial management department. This enables them to analyze unpaid invoices and easily manage school catering invoice reminders.
