With Skolengo ENT, teachers can make learning fun. In particular, they use the Exerciser. Find out how an English teacher and a history-geography teacher use the Exerciser to make their courses more attractive and facilitate learning.

Learn irregular verbs in English with the ENT Exerciser

Learning irregular verbs in English is a must in Secondary school. Students are generally required to memorize between 5 and 10 irregular verbs per week, depending on their level. Aniella Lebeau, English teacher at Louis de Broglie's Secondary school in Ancemont (55), uses the ENT Exerciser to students to practice and Grading their memorization independently.

The first step is for students to familiarize themselves with the verbs to be learned, and to repeat them as a class to check that they have the correct pronunciation.

During this week of learning, they continue to manipulate these irregular verbs in Course(s) and learn them using the technique that suits them best (reading, saying, repeating, copying, reciting, recording, listening, testing...).

Then, to Grade them, Aniella Lebeau submits an interactive exercise created with the ENT exerciseur called "Question Cards". This exercise is to be completed independentlyoutside English Course(s) hours, either at home or as part of the "Assignment(s) faits" program..

In preparation for this Grade, she completed the exercise title and instructions. She has entered the irregular French verbs (one verb = one card) that the Students will be writing in English.

To ensure that the exercise is actually completed by the students, she sets the parameters by checking 2 important options: "Case-sensitive" and "Require user to enter an answer before displaying the correction". Then, after recording all the verbs to be completed by her Students, she saves her activity.

For proof of the Student's work, simply request a screenshot of the results. In this context, it is advisable to enter the Student's Reply mode by clicking on "Attached document(s)" before clicking on "Send".

Students find their activity in the Work to do for the date indicated. It is also available in the Teaching binder binder.

The "Question Cards" activities created with the ENT Exerciser are a good complement to in-class memorization activities. They enable students to practice independently and become more involved in their learning in a fun way. They also help them achieve better results on written Gradings.

Test your knowledge of history and geography with a quiz set up with the Exerciser.

As soon as Adelyne Bouchelet, History-Geography and EMC teacher at the Lycée Louis Casimir Teyssier in Bitche, had set up the Exerciser in the Teaching binder, the students were given quizzes and texts to fill in the blanks. Easy to use, the exerciser was very well received by the Students, who found this new feature "cool". For example, at the end of a Course(s), she places a quiz or "choose a word" in an activity in the digital Binder. a MCQ or "choose a word" for Students to check their knowledge.

She also sometimes gives students an activity during the Course(s) and takes the opportunity to support students who are having difficulty completing the exercise. This is an opportunity for a quick remediation before continuing with the lesson..
With no Serious disciplinary measures at stake, the exercise allows students to grade themselves.

With this additional tool, combined with the Teaching binder, teachers can "set up a new way of working with their students, by giving them little edutainment exercises to review or discover concepts.
